Terms of Use

By creating a Superbrief account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it. Superbrief is operated by Dave Acton from Queensland, Australia.

Superbrief gathers publicly available news and information on topics you choose, and uses AI to write and narrate a personalised audio briefing.

Briefings are generated by AI from third-party sources, and they can be wrong. Stories may be incomplete, out of date, missing context, or occasionally mistaken. Treat a briefing as a starting point, not a source of record. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

Superbrief is for general information only. Nothing in a briefing is financial, investment, legal, medical, or professional advice — including briefings covering markets, stocks or health. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a briefing. If a briefing mentions something that affects your money or your health, talk to someone qualified.

Superbrief is not an emergency service.Don't rely on it for warnings, alerts, or time-critical safety information.

You need an accurate email address and must keep your password secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. One person per account — don't share logins.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Superbrief.

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or publicly broadcast briefings generated for you.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying prompts, models, or source code.
• Use automated means to create accounts or generate briefings at scale.
• Use Superbrief to break the law, infringe someone's rights, or interfere with the service for others.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, or that generate costs wildly disproportionate to their plan.

Your information stays yours. Your preferences, your feedback, and the briefings generated for you belong to you, and you may use them personally however you like.

You grant us permission to process your preferences in order to produce your briefings — that's simply how the service works.

Superbrief's name, design, software and brand belong to us. Underlying news content belongs to the publishers who produced it; briefings summarise and link to their work, and we don't claim ownership of it.

New accounts include a limited number of free briefings so you can decide whether Superbrief is for you. No payment details are required for the trial, and it does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions. Where you buy a subscription inside the iOS or Android app:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the price shown at purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Cancelling stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us. Unused portions of a period are generally not refunded.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and include applicable taxes. If we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their price until their next renewal and will be told beforehand.

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded — including your right to a remedy if the service is not of acceptable quality.

We aim to have your briefing ready when you asked for it, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Generation depends on third-party news sources and AI providers, any of which can fail or change. Occasionally a briefing may be late, short, or unavailable. If a paid service is substantially unavailable for an extended period, contact us and we'll sort it out.

You can delete your account at any time, and everything associated with it will be removed — see the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, or if we stop operating Superbrief. If we shut the service down, we'll give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid period you haven't used.

To the extent the law allows, Superbrief is provided “as is”, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on a briefing. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, or resupplying the service.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect; continuing to use Superbrief afterwards means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes will be handled by the courts there.
